I'm coming on the walk from Hathersage as Jos's sister and am keen to participate.  However I regret that I have serious issues about certain aspects of Jos's website in particular the diary entries and the Macmillan nurse essay.  These are not defamatory but I strongly feel and I have some support in this that they are prejudiced and pay no respect to people's right to privacy.  Jos was a marvellous person in many respects but her prejudiced and sometimes  UNTRUE remarks about her birth family have caused pain and she, being very ill, was unable to understand.  I have tried to avoid looking at the website and Caroline (youngest sister) cannot bear to look it.  I feel that she should not continue to cause justified pain with aspects of her writings, posted when terminally ill, and probably unable to exercise discretion and judgement.  My criticism caused her to write back suggesting I was on a manic high which I was not.  The Macmillan Nurse essay is witty and I'm sure the woman was a real pain but I seriously think she should not have her faults perpetuated on a website when she must be easily recognisable in the Hathersage area.  As an email to friends it would have been fine.

She wrote a (trivial) untruth about the hat sent by oldest sister Diana (i.e.that it cost money that could have been given to MAP).  It was a recycled materials hat that Diana had been fond of and thought Jos would like i.e. it cost nothing.  She wrote about my manic depression making speculative comments that I strongly disagreed with and it is ME that lives with the illness and it bears no resemblance to experiencing a steroid high.   She was patronising and ignorant, totally unaware that one's judgement flies out of the window when one is on a high.  There is an element of self-indulgence in going high but she overplays it and mentions not at all the total absence of judgement that makes one convinced that any absurd idea that comes to mind is a fine thing to follow through.  It is for the sufferer to "out" him or herself not for Jos to do it on a website.  Her prejudiced remarks about our late father have caused distress too as there is another side to his character which she did not try to reach being so belligerent.

She writes wonderfully about her terminal cancer and the fellow patients with cancer that she met.  She has tremendous wit and a definite writing talent.  

However, I strongly feel that her diary entries need to be extensively pruned and I shall say so on the walk and I know that this HAS to be said and for the sake of me, at least, it has direct effects on my mental health so it's extremely important.  I want to be left with good memories of Jos whom I loved dearly.

I do feel strongly that what Jos felt and wrote should be preserved in full, but if there are suggested additions which clarify things, rather than edits, I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed to co-exist in some way.

I feel very differently in relation to the Macmillan nurse article than I do about the ones that talk about you Susan.

     It has been a hot topic discussed heatedly for the time being that how indeed the media influence our teens. Different peopie  come  up  with  different opinions. The following passages are two different comments given by several  teenagers ranging from 15 to 20.

These druids might be capable of abnormal movement in the Dream (e.g., a night elf who can sprint at a greatly accelerated rate, walk through solid objects, or fly). Characteristics of the Dream
